Spring Break

I am very excited for spring break this year. My family and I usually go on a trip to Florida, but this year since my mom is on the Unit 5 calendar, our spring breaks are different. My parents are going to Florida the 22nd, which is the week we are back in school. I have been working over Thanksgiving and Christmas break and finally won’t be working over spring break. It is going to feel so nice to just be lazy around the house. I don’t have to worry about staying up too late to be on time for work in the morning. Like I have mentioned before; my boyfriend is in the Marines. He just moved to MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina. Last time I saw him was over winter break and he might get deployed over summer; so being able to see him over spring break means so much to me. I just booked my flight last night, and I couldn’t be more excited. I plan on leaving March 15 from Midway airport. I have a layover in Atlanta, but it won’t be for very long. I arrive to Cherry Point around 10pm Thursday night. I have never been to the East coast before so I am thrilled to see how beautiful it is. The temperature is supposed to be in the 60-70’s, which I am very happy about. Anything seems to be better than this awful 35 degrees we’ve been having in Normal. It feels like it has been a year since I’ve seen Austin and I’m so thankful that I could make this trip happen. My mom is a little worried that I’m going to be flying by myself and getting around North Carolina by myself; but I couldn’t be more ready. I love to travel and I’m so stoked. I’m thinking this spring break is going to be one I never forget.

  3. I'm soo happy you get to see your boyfriend! First off, North Carolina is beautiful. I go there all the time because we have a place there and it's just so much prettier than Illinois. The warm weather is a huge plus, lucky you you may get a little tan. But have fun visiting your boyfriend!

  4. Have fun in SC! Long distance is really hard so I'm really glad that you get to see him before deployment. Fly safe!
